Boston Marathon: Two runners unite to help a third runner cross the finish line.

On April 20, 2026, nearly 30,000 runners competed in the annual Boston Marathon. One of those runners was 21-year-old Ajay Haridasse, of Wakefield, Massachusetts.
After running nearly 26-miles, as Ajay approached the finish line, he collapsed. Repeatedly, he tried to get up, but each time, he fell down.
He was extremely determined to cross the finish line, but his body said he was done, until out of the blue, two other runners intervened.

First, Aaron Beggs of Northern Ireland and then Robson De Oliveira of Brazil wrapped their arms around Ajay and helped to carry him the rest of the way, and across the finish line.
Something had happened far greater than the race, two Good Samaritans intervened, sacrificing their own race times to help another runner, all of them complete strangers.
The dramatic intervention, recorded by spectators and quickly spread online, showed numerous runners ignoring Ajay, until Aaron and then Robson got involved.
The crowd cheered them all the way to the finish.
"I truly cannot describe how grateful I am for both of them," Ajay revealed in a PEOPLE magazine interview. "Everyone, including myself, needs to be more like them."
"That was a moment I am never going to forget for the rest of my life," he added. "And I'm grateful I got to share it with both Robson and Aaron."

After crossing the finish line, Ajay and Robson were so exhausted, that each was placed in a wheelchair, and moved to the medical tent for evaluation and recovery.
