A vulnerable little kitten rescued from a Walmart Pepsi Machine.
Walmart employee Lindsay Russell was on her lunch break when she heard a frightened kitten meowing from inside a Pepsi vending machine.
Lindsay knew she had to act.
"I tried all through my lunch and my last break to get her," she told Knoxville, Tennessee TV Station WVLT.
"I tried recruiting co-workers to help me get her, and none of us could do it."

In desperation, she called the local Morristown Fire Department hoping firefighters could rescue this kitten.
"We could hear it meowing as soon as we came up," Morristown fireman Doug Allison told WVLT. "We knew it was in there and kind of stressed out."
The firefighters unplugged the Pepsi machine and took off the back cover, but could not find the crying kitten.

But through another opening they spotted the kitten and soon lured her out.
And shortly afterward this fur baby was in Lindsay's arms.
So, what became of this tiny kitten? Lindsay adopted her and she now has a loving home. What did Lindsay name her? In honor of her rescue, she is named: Pepsi.
