Pepper, A Potty-Mouthed Parrot Finds A New Home.
After a woman gave Pepper and six parakeets to the Niagara SPCA animal shelter in Niagara Falls, N.Y., Pepper greeted the staff and volunteers with:
"Do you want me to kick your [expletive]?"
Amy Lewis, the shelter director said this woman warned them Pepper could swear a blue streak, and Amy knew it would require something special to find him a new home.

Turning to Facebook, she wrote, "If you think Pepper's feathers are colorful, you should hear his language."
"Bringing home a cursing conure might seem like a fun idea until Pepper offends grandma's Tuesday night knitting group," Amy continued.
"On the bright side, if you want to keep unannounced company from dropping in, adopt Pepper. They'll think twice after being cussed out by your new foul-mouthed feathered friend."
Surprisingly, the shelter received over 400 offers to adopt him!
"We had adoption offers from all over the country," Amy told The Washington Post. "It seemed like everyone wanted a cursing parrot."
Amy and her team evaluated the offers, and selected Tiffany Turner, a special ed teacher from Olean, N.Y. and her fiancé, Tim Sage.
The couple, in their 30's, already had Shelby, also a cursing parrot.
"They had a lot of knowledge about parrots, and their home is like a regular truck stop with another swearing bird," Amy said. "It seemed like a perfect fit."
Said Tiffany, "We'd wanted another parrot for years, but we didn't want a young one [Pepper is in his 20's] because they live for so long."
"When we heard about Pepper, we thought he'd be perfect," said Tiffany, adding, "It's probably a good thing we don't have kids."
