Pregnant woman saved from drowning by courageous Good Samaritan.
In Martin County, Florida, on February 6, 2026, 29-year-old eight-month pregnant Shedly Appolon was driving, when dizziness suddenly overwhelmed her and her car spun out of control and into a roadside pond.
Instantly, a torrent of water rushed into the car, trapping Shedly inside, as her car quickly began sinking beneath the surface.
It appeared she and her unborn child would die, when suddenly help arrived.

A Good Samaritan, Logan Hayes had witnessed this horrific event and immediately swam out 40-feet to reach her car.
By the time he got there, only the vehicle's rear door remained above the surface. Logan forced it open as he cried out to Shedly to come with him.
"When he swung that door open, I was just like, 'Okay, you are an angel. You came out of nowhere," Shedly told CBS 12.
Logan grabbed Shedly, who was unable to swim, and kept her above the water as he guided her to the shoreline. Without his quick actions, this story would have been tragic.
When first responders arrived, they provided emergency medical care, and transported Shedly to HCA Lawnwood Hospital.
But that's not the end of our story:
Four hours later, an HCA Lawnwood medical team performed a C-section. Despite being born seven weeks premature, a healthy three-pound, 14-ounce baby girl was born.
First time parents Shedly and Woody named their adorable baby, Ivory.
Meanwhile Good Samaritan Logan Hayes remained remarkably humble:
"I was just kind of dumbfounded, to be honest. Like, I just couldn't believe that happened. Couldn't believe that at that exact moment I happened to be driving by at the exact time," he told ABC Channel 25.
